Classical ballet is the oldest form of ballet that exists and originated in the 19th century.
In this lesson, we work on the basic postures (of both your arms and legs), the technique, the graceful and light way of moving, balance, strength, turning, use of space, flexibility, and different jumps. These are the basic principles of this style.
The first part of the lesson takes place at the so-called barre, after that the al milieu/the middle, a crossing and finally a short dance combination with what you have learned in this lesson. You end the lesson neatly together with a curtsy and a short stretch.
The main difference between classical and modern dance is that modern works from emotion and natural movements and classical works from basic positions and movements. These moves become more extensive and more difficult as you level up.
